Another delicious, simple , healthy crowd pleasing pizza casserole that’s good for you! My whole family enjoyed this one , I will be adding it to our monthly meals!

Just going to say this pizza recipe can be made in the instant pot or the crock pot. The choice is yours! I have done it both ways and prefer the instant pot! The pizza casserole is full of flavor, you can pretty much add any ingredients to your liking. Like with my My Other Instant Pot Casserole I added some turkey pepperoni since my kids love them. I think the next time I make this I may make it more like a supreme pizza, I love veggies! My kids are starting to think all we eat is pizza, hey at least its healthy!

To cook in a crock pot I browned the meat prior to placing in the crock pot. Once meat is in the crock pot , spread it out evenly. mix all seasonings with the tomato sauce then pour over the meat. Top with cheese and your choice of toppings. Cook on low heat for 4 hours then serve and enjoy! I hope you try this out and enjoy!

Another way to make this if you don’t have both ground turkey and sausage another great option is to use 2 pounds of ground meat. I have seen recipes that used that instead of half ground meat half sausage! Or you can make it strictly veggies! What I love about this is you truly can make it to your liking or family needs!!! Enjoy

I followed the directions but it ended up like soup

Ended like a soup for me also.

Try reducing or omitting the water. I would think that the sauce would provide enough liquid to keep this more solid. I am planning on omitting the water and checking it half way through. You can always add more liquid, if needed.

Same here. No water and it’s still too soupy to eat.

Made this tonight – yum! Not soupy at all but I didn’t use any extra water, it was just right. Next one will have to play around w toppings

I added 4 servings of brown rice (slightly undercooked) and 1 serving of chopped up green peppers (dan’t have too many veggies!). I then adjusted the container count. I think the rice helped as I didn’t have any issues with it being soupy. I also did not add the extra water and made it in a crockpot. We enjoyed it.

We make this without water. Recipe does not call for water. We also do not put cheese in it while in the pot– it disappears. We add that later. The consistency is just perfect when done. We love our Instapot.

This is definitely skirting the line on being “approved.”

Just made this and, with only sauce, it was still very soupy. Maybe I’ll try it again and add even less sauce than the recipe calls for.

Made this tonight mostly following the recipe (without added water), but added a cooked spaghetti squash and a handful each of mushrooms and spinach, plus upped the sauce to 14 oz. I also only used about 1/2c of cheese. It was still super meaty (delicious), but not too watery and still came to pressure. Next time I will either serve on top of the spagetti squash or add even more veg to make it less of a meat bomb. But the flavors were on point!
